10 Years of Forsake

Hey!

This is Sam. Whether you just discovered us recently or you’ve been rockin’ our kicks since the Hiker was our flagship style – thanks for joining us. I’m writing you to introduce our new fall collection that just dropped. In my (admittedly biased) opinion, the Fall 2023 Collection is our best yet. We’ve got our Wild Sky Collection inspired by and built for rugged terrain, new women’s and men’s casual styles including our first men’s chelsea boot (!!), and new insulated styles that’ll keep those tootsies cozy and dry throughout the winter.

I’m proud to say that we’ve also worked in as many eco-friendly elements as we could. Across the line, all of our laces, webbing, and linings are 100% recycled. We source our leather exclusively from LWG gold-rated tanneries, we mix BLOOM algae foam into our midsoles and most of our footbeds, and of course, we’ve been Climate Neutral Certified since 2019.

This fall season is particularly special because it marks 10 years since my good friend Jake and I launched Forsake back in 2013. The past decade of building this brand has been a wild ride, and I could go on and on with stories of blunders and miraculous recoveries, but the thing that really strikes me is that our ethos – our WHY – is the same today as it was the day I jumped out of a plane to give the original elevator pitch for our Kickstarter video. As I screamed at the top of my lungs:

“Forsake shoes are built for versatility and performance for all conditions, weather, and terrain. You don’t carry around rain boots in case a storm hits, or hiking boots in case you venture off the beaten path. So, we’re building footwear that transcends traditional boundaries and environments. All weather products that combine comfort, versatility, and style.”

I hope there’s a style in our line that speaks to you and inspires you to get outside this fall – because after all, that’s where this all began – with a need for better footwear that’ll keep us comfortable in the place we love most: the outdoors.

Thank you for your support, it really means a lot. Here’s to 10 more years of Forsake!

Cheers,
Sam
